Meet Leila

We have all heard the quote, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."  I wish to see my county have a real choice in its elections once again, and to ensure nobody waltzes into office unchallenged.

I’m a mom, wife, volunteer, and advocate.

Llano High School graduate, moved away for education and career, came back to rear my children here.

I never wanted to get into politics, and neither did my husband.  Politics came to us.  I feel compelled to seek change in our community.

I began advocating for intellectual freedom–that is, our ability to read and think freely, without government censorship of publicly available library books–in 2021, and five years on, I’m still going.  If you want to read more about the library lawsuit and/or find my thoughts on the matter, please click here.
